Sorry to hear that you had a rough month---and I must say that if that is a light month for you, you're putting me to shame. I'm always glad when one of your posts comes up in the reader, and it pleases me to see other people baking (I can't speak for crocheting).

I hope March looks up a little bit. It's so true how what's going on personally can really affect how we feel about what we read. So nice to see a post from you. :)

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having a rough February. I hope your March is better, not only in life events, but that every book you read this month is four to five stars. <3

I've been eyeing this one but since I haven't read the last one by her I felt probably it would just end up on the shelf for years.
My favourite spot in Rome is also the Parthenon, especially at the end of the day when you can sit at the cafe and imagine all those feet from ancient times walking the same path

Cannot wait to read this!! I am ashamed to admit that I threw away my shot to get a copy of this book for free -- I was at a conference, the Penguin booth was giving away books because they didn't want to have to ship them all home, and I didn't want to appear greedy, so I waited to go ask. And by the time I got there, someone had already taken SPQR. SOB. (I'll seize the day next time.)

I think one of the most mind-blowing things about becoming an adult is that you realize all adults are really just winging it. In a way, it's nice. I like to think of life as a path, and all of us are becoming better people as we move through life. I think I am a better person than I was in my 20s, and I hope that I will be a better person in my 40s than I am in my 30s. One of the great things about being an adult is that you DO feel more comfortable in your own skin and are willing to be yourself so much more fully and openly than previously. And I really do love that :-)
