I sometimes have a problem figuring out what books to read from my TBR pile but usually I’m turning to hurry and read a library book, so I don’t pay my own books much attention.

I have a (growing) slew of my own books to read, yet every few weeks I get a new slew from the library, which in turn prevents me from reading the first slew at all! My logic is sound: “The library books aren’t mine … I have to return them so I better read them first … while the others, my books, will be here long after the library books have been returned!” My husband can’t understand why I want to buy more and more new books when my shelves are filled with many I haven’t read. But my wares number nowhere near 350 … I’ll have to tell him about your mammoth shelf as it makes my habit seem mild :)
