Oh, wow, I’m so jealous! That looks like so much fun.

Right now I’m reading a book about a former PhD student who decided she wanted to direct Shakespeare’s plays instead of studying them. In this book she’s in Scotland (MacBeth), but in the first one she was in London directing a play at the Globe. And it exploded!!!

Come to Stratford next theatre season and I’ll get you hooked up. I will see pretty much anything Shakespeare (bar ‘Taming of the Shrew’)! I loved The Globe and the performance we saw was outstanding, but the RSC is pretty amazing too (and they have a new theatre with tower views now, don’t listen to the haters about the design it is a very cool place). Seats aren’t quite as cheap as The Globe but you can get some decent prices with early booking. Any excuse for a meet up.

I’ve seen Shakespeare performed live a few times… at a festival in St. Louis and also at a theater in Atlanta that mostly performed Shakespeare (but I saw The Crucible there as well). I really enjoyed both times, but as lovely as they were I’m sure they didn’t compare at all to your experience!

My favorite television show is currently House Hunters International – and here you are living it! I wish you the best of luck finding the perfect place to call home.

I was fortunate enough to purchase “groundling” tickets to view A Midsummer Night’s Dream the last time I took to a tour to London in 2007. It was truly amazing.

York is one of my favourite places in the world, and at least in the nineties had the friendliest B&B i ever have had the pleasure of staying at (Sunbeam Cottage). As anyone who has stayed in a British B&B can vouch, that is saying quite a lot:-) Anyway, best of luck with the house/flat hunt!

The Globe? How cool. I’m sorry it’s early here…well, for me, it’s early..so I’m not the best with words right now. I am super jealous of you Brits…all that history. I mean, yeah, we here in the States have history, but yo, you’ve really got history.

I think York would be a wonderful place to live. It was a highlight of our visit to England several years ago. Of course, I’d be tempted to live in the old city, which is probably not a good idea due to the summer crowds.
