As Sabrina Fairchild said, "More isn't always better, sometimes it's just more", so I support you in the reading slower initiative. When I hear about people who read 200 books a year I always wonder how in the world they manage to understand and remember what they read, let alone enjoy it.
BBC has absolutely wonderful programs and publications and I wish the videos from their site were available in the US. For now I'm making do with the podcasts from their World Book Club and majority of those interviews are very interesting and entertaining. Highly recommend them, if you haven't listened to them yet.

I have an ARC that I'm reading too quickly. Now I wish I could just slow down and enjoy it some more, but I have to get that review up, so I totally get what you're saying.

Can you believe I almost forgot about BEA? :) That's what happens when you can't go, but I know I'm not alone with that.

Yeah so many years into this book blogging thing and I know now it's definitely about quality not quantity. When I manage to read a book now, I have a lot more thoughts and feelings on it, because I'm letting myself. And it's always great to have time to enjoy other interests! Enjoy your magazine, Meghan!

It's nice to hear that you are taking some time to slow down with your current reads. I know just what you mean about speeding through them. The other day I was reflecting about a book I had read a few weeks ago, and couldn't remember how it ended at all. I told myself it was no big deal, but I realized then that I need to slow down!

The one thing I'm glad about this week is the BEA. It's really an excuse for us to sit back and not review. I do have one review to post for a tour, but that's it. I also find that I don't enjoy a book much when I blaze through it. When I actually pause and read, there's so much more that I appreciate about the book.

Happy Sunday and have a great week!
