HAHA this struck a chord with people didn’t it I’ve got tons of books that I thought I’d read this year and didn’t, but I am proud that I finally read Dark Matter, which I meant to read next year. Still haven’t managed to fit Under the Done, or Full Dark in either though.

The book I’m most disappointed I still haven’t picked up is Jane Eyre, it has been on my shelf for over a year now which is scandalous in itself, but even worse is how I’m pretty sure I’ll love once I manage to pick it up!

There are so many that I have wanted to get to this year, and have not. A few of them off the top of my head are The Bells, Cutting for Stone, and Wolf Hall. All of them are going to be great reads for me, but I just haven’t had the time for them! I can so relate to what you are going through!

Mine are mostly chunksters like yours. I’m with Natasha in that I’m not going to get to 1Q84 by the end of the year. It’s on my Christmas wish list…neither am I going to get to A Clash of Kings or the rest of the Game of Throne series either. I’d like to read King’s latest, but I doubt I’ll get to that either by year’s end.

I reread A Game of Thrones earlier this year, and meant to reread the rest of the series before Dance With Dragons came out. well, I never reread ‘em, and DWD got mediocre reviews, so maybe it was no big loss. Meant to read more contemporary fiction, especially Barbara Kingsolver’s latest, and that didn’t happen either.

was too busy reading epic fantasy and space opera.

I am sure I could put a list together of books I meant to get to, but somehow didn’t. Ugh, it’s annoying! I did read 11/22/63, however and I LOVED IT. I hope you get to that one soon, I’d love to read your thoughts on it! I also have Full Dark, No Stars and haven’t had a chance to get to that one, though, but I should. I’ve become a recent fan of Stephen King, so I’m trying to read more of his work without reading too much by him all at once!

There’s no way I’m going to get to 1Q84 or 11/22/63 this year. Unless I take some library books back but I don’t really want to yet.

To be honest, it’s been a while since I was excited by any new releases. I was really excited about Shadowfever, which I read as soon as I could; and Darker Still, and I’m waiting until Romance Month is over to read that one. That’s about it! =/
