Congratulations on your blogiversary and your new job! I didn’t start reading the Harry Potter books until about five years ago, but once I started I couldn’t stop.

I agree that the last movie was good even though they changed a lot of minor things. It was such a bittersweet ending.

A didn’t realize you’d gotten a new job! Congratulations! Are you planning to start your PhD now that you’re back in York?

It is sad that the last Harry Potter movie came out, especially since it kind of feels like we grew up with kids in the film! It feels like they aged a lot faster than I did, though–is that weird?

Wow. What a rollercoaster of a ride of a week, let alone the last four years of the blog and 12 years of Harry Potter. My stomach is just doing somersaults thinking about it all, let alone living it. I’ve been blogging about six years…book blogging about four years. I read the first Harry Potter years ago, but then finally read all of the others just this year so that I could watch all the movies before the last one came out. I have to say naturally the books have been better than the movies, but I’ve appreciated the movies too for what the filmmakers have been able to do with such a complex work. I look forward to seeing the last one later this week with my wife.
