I too just had my birthday. Nothing else for us till Christmas again now! I got the full set of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin for Christmas from my father but couldn't get them home from my mother's house on the train. Of course that means I really want to start reading them!

I’ve heard about the Vorkosigan series from another Sunday Saloner, Alyce, and want to get to them, but just haven’t yet. I think based off what I’ve heard from Alyce, I’d go with that one too for your next read. I’ve heard of Tanya Huff, seen her books at the library where I work and was wondering about her too.

I’ve only read Charmed Life so I’m biased, but it’s such a good book Love your pile of immediate TBR, I spend too long looking at my shelves, might have to borrow your idea.

I really need to get back to the Miles Vorkosigan series, so that would be my choice.

Read Stroooooong Poisooooooooooooon! You know you want to. (And I’m sure you knew I was going to say that :P)

I also try to organise what I’m going to read next, not in a stack but by writing a list for the next week or so, but lately I’ve been paralyse by choice. So many good books out there!
