I too was a big re-reader as a child. I stopped when I went to grad school. I think it was because of lack of copious amounts of free time and I wanted to read new as well as old. I still reread the entire Hobbit/LoTR every five or six years. I have since I was in 7th grade.

I don't think I've ever re-read a book as an adult reader, primarily because of the guilt factor. If I spend time re-reading a favourite book, then that's time that could be spent discovering my new favourite. I feel the same way about movies too, although I'm far more likely to watch a movie again (than re-read) a book, because it only takes 90 mins or so.

i love to reread and especially series books like this! I read so many different series that it is necessary so that I can remember everything. I read the first book in the Seanan McGuire series this past year. It sounds like I need to catch up sooner rather than later! Have a great week!

I used to be big on rereading when I was a child and also in my teens. When I got older, the one book I did reread when I was in my 20s was Pride and Prejudice. I do still do some rereading, but almost always it's either a book from my childhood. Or it's Harry Potter, which I've reread twice now!

I have never read the October Daye series, but you've definitely put it on my radar now. I've actually not read any Seanan McGuire titles yet, but I have read her Mira Grant Newsflesh trilogy and really enjoyed them.
