I've never read Eragon, but I do know that the author was fairly young when he wrote it, so maybe he could relate more to the experiences of a young boy? I was impressed with this book because I believe the author is a middle-aged woman, but really any believable characters are great and something I'm always looking out for.

I'm in the process of writing my response! Thanks for tagging me. =)

"Sometimes it’s difficult when an adult fantasy holds as its focus a young boy..."

I don't know if it qualifies as "adult fantasy" but I really liked Eragon. I thought Eragon as a character was well written, and one I could care about.

By the way, you've been tagged! http://thekoolaidmom.wordpress.com/2008/07/09/book-club-classics-classics-meme/
I'd love to see your answers!
