That is excellent book coverage. You kept it reasonably short and interesting too.

A Castle In Spain sounds like good reading. Anything castle and, particularly medieval, I am interested in.

It sounds like Parris was really committed to the dream of seeing this place whole again! I would love to read this one, because I think it would be really interesting to read about all his trials and successes with it. Thanks for the great review! I wil have to see if I can find this book!

That definitely sounds like a labor of love! I have a feeling I would like this book since I enjoyed the story of restoring Biltmore.

I have always wanted to fix up old houses. I remember swiping on my grandma’s Harlequin romances, back when I wasn’t supposed to DO that, and it was about a woman who restored old Victorian houses. I thought it sounded so much fun! I love travelogues, memoirs, and old crumbling houses, so it sounds like I need to track this one down!
