There is another book after this one that continues the story, called Falling Leaves, and I do have that one on my shelf, but I was unaware until just recently that this book was the first half of the story. I am going to have to grab a copy of this one, so that I can get the full story. Great review! I love memoirs and don’t know that I’ve ever read a middle grade one. This story sounds heartbreaking.

I didn't realize she had a YA memoir. I read her adult memoir, Falling Leaves, in HS and absolutely loved it. That was probably ten years ago and it still resonates with me. .-= Stephanie´s last blog .. =-.

I have to read this book! I love memoirs in general and this one seems like a simply a must-read.
