I read this author’s first book, and was quite pleased with it, so I am also hoping to love this one too. It’s good to hear that the writing pulled you in so quickly and that it was well done. I will be adding this one to my list. Thanks for the great review!

A period I haven’t read much fiction in. Sounds good. And I love historical fiction that isn’t padded.

I remember liking this one. I thought mix of historical fiction, police investigation, and romance was good.

I completely agree with your review! It was a book that had a bit of everything yet didn’t feel overwhelming or choppy for the length… couldn’t wish for anything more.
