I can’t decide if this sounds interesting or just troubling. What it sounds like is that the author was going through a particularly rough patch and was using a lot of wishful thinking while developing her story. The idea of sending someone else to deal with the bad stuff? I think it is one of those ideas that only sounds good but that can never actually result in good things. Oh well. Hopefully, your next read is better!
