I hadn't yet heard of this book, but it sounds like something I would like. I particularly like that it is politically relevant. I am glad you enjoyed it. I am going to be putting it on my wish list. Thanks!

While I didn't love this book, I certainly found it a worthwhile read. I, too, was drawn to the archaeological aspects of it, and it was nice to read a book dealing with the politics of the region. What I didn't like: The cover called it a thriller, and it's just not. I agree, some of the characters: Definitely not likable!

I really should learn more about the history of the politics of oil and the the Mideast. I'll keep this one in mind for a possibility.

Time Team: Sounds like a great show. Do we get here in the States?
