I loved that book sooo much as well! This was my first book by Moran, and I want to read her previous ones.
Here’s a sample of my review:
As a major contrast, Michelle Moran, who also wrote a couple of books on Egypt that I ‘m dying of reading now, did a fantastic job of writing fiction on the base of a VERY serious historical research. I wish French students who study the French Revolution were assigned to read this book. This is so well done.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anything like this on a US cover, but it’s not the first time a UK cover has perplexed me with a sentence blurb!

I loved this one too. Interesting that the U.S. cover just had an author blurb and “A NOVEL OF THE FRENCH REVOLUTION.”

I have also been wanting to read this after enjoying other books by Moran. It sounds like this book has a lot going for it, from characters to setting, to narrative, and I just know i am going to enjoy it. It’s been awhile since I have lost myself in a historical fiction read, so I need to read this one soon! Great review!
