I truly LOVED this book. It dealt with the after-affects of war in a way that I haven’t seen before.

I loved this one too and felt much the same you did. I particularly liked how the world changed so much and the women were forced to change with it. And I think it showed so clearly how war is so devestating in so many ways.

Sounds interesting. I haven’t tried Feldman’s novels, so I may take a look at it. The role of women in WWII is often totally ignored, so I’m interested in a novel that looks at this.

I loved this one too! It tackles so many things, which was somewhat unexpected for me. I also really enjoyed Feldman’s last novel, Scottsboro, about a female journalist who covers the Scottsboro trials. It’s quite moving as well.

A close friend gave this book to me, and I am very eager to read it! She said it was totally engrossing and that she came to care for the characters very quickly, which is something that really makes me anxious to try it. I loved this book, too. Feldman did a great job showing the passage of time and inserting historical events, but above all, she showed how war doesn’t affect only the men who go off to fight. I will add your review to War Through the Generations.
