This sounds like a really good find, and very different from most of the vampire lit that is out there today. I have still not begun to dig into urban fantasy, but this sounds like an interesting place I might start! Great review!

Interesting about the HIV positive blood. I’m not much into graphic stuff either, but I agree with you – I see it differently depending on the gender of the author!
