just finished reading this boook i am like only 12 and this book really moved me i would love to visit china someday and unfortuantly i am sad that i never got to meet or see pearl buck cause she died so long ago but this book is realllllllyyyy good i loved it and will recomend it to all my young freinds at my book club

Yay, you got the comments fixed! I read The Good Earth eons ago and while I don’t remember a lot about it, I remember loving it. I imagine I would love this book too.

I just finished this book and really enjoyed it. I had a hardcover and the author’s note said that Willow wasn’t real, but is a composite of real friends of Pearl’s throughout her life who still cannot actually be named for fear of reprisals.
