I have read the first book in this series twice. One day I am going to make it to book 2… I reread book 1 because I was at the second hand bookstore and they had almost the entire series, so of course I snatched them up.

He has another series that is young adult. I think Aarti is talking about that series. I have seen the books around, but haven’t paid any attention because I all ready have one series by him I am failing at reading.

Glad you enjoy Scarrow, too! I think he wrote a series set in the Napoleonic era, too, didn’t he? I am almost positive…

I love books about Rome, but the ones I have read usually deal with things from a female perspective. It sounds like this one would be interesting for me, in that it focuses on males and that it is so gritty and battle-heavy. Great review today. I might have to check out the first in this series! Thanks!

Uh oh. This is the type of series I love. Glad to know that it stands alone but I might see if I can read them in order.
