I suspect that you’re right — some of your reaction was that the book just wasn’t your type of book. I haven’t read it all the way through yet, but the premise intrigues me.

Simon sounds like he would annoy the heck out of me, but surprisingly, I am still interested in reading this book. I like books about modern relationships, and something about the synopsis that you posted is really intriguing to me. Great review. I appreciate your honesty.

This book actually sounds lovely, but you know…I don’t think I can handle modern relationship stories either. They seem too depressing and downbeat. I wish there was a modern, happy, romantic story of a married couple, but then I would probably say it was too saccharine. Nothing can please me, I think
