Hooray! That was a lovely book! I’m reading another novel set in Russia now — In the First Circle by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. I know it won’t be as charming as Russian Winter, but it’s still a fascinating place to read about.

I agree with your review completely, I loved it too! I was especially impressed with the way the author managed to evoke such emotions from me about Stalinist Russia – I don’t know nearly enough about this time in history so it was great to read about it in fiction.

This is one I really want to read! After reading your review I only want to read it more. I’ve really enjoyed the historical fiction I’ve read set in Russia recently.
