Hooray! That was a lovely book! I'm reading another novel set in Russia now -- In the First Circle by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. I know it won't be as charming as Russian Winter, but it's still a fascinating place to read about.

I agree with your review completely, I loved it too! I was especially impressed with the way the author managed to evoke such emotions from me about Stalinist Russia - I don't know nearly enough about this time in history so it was great to read about it in fiction.

I am so glad that you loved this book! I have a copy and am looking forward to reading it. I love stories that have equally interesting parallel narratives, so this should be a great read for me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it with us!
