Thanks to all for your comments on this book--I'm glad the Southeast Asian setting appeals to so many of you. Some of you seem like old friends (Claire? Word Lily?--have I bumped into you at other book blogs? If so, thanks for following the tour!) I'm gratified when people who don't always read short stories think they might try this collection. If you do, I'd love to know if it grabbed you.

It's been so nice to connect with avid readers. Meghan, thanks again for participating in my tour.

This sounds really wonderful. The exotic and colourful cultures of Southeast Asia are rarely seen in literature and this looks like a worthwhile addition.

Every review/mention of this book has made me want to read it. Even with my usual hesitation about short stories, I'm just want to dive into this book.

I like an Asian setting, but I usually have the same problems with short stories as you have. Your enthusiastic review has made me reconsider this collection.

I've really been in an Asian reads mood lately. I'm stocking up for a readathon that will turn the corners of my eyes up by the time I'm through, I think, lol! Right now I'm reading Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet... that's a lie.. lol... that's what I SHOULD be reading, but I can't seem to pull my head out Stop Dressing Your Six-Year-Old Like a Skank, which is hilarious!

I think I put in for this book on the ER thingy. I'll have to make sure it's on my wishlists. :-D
