I listened to this one and enjoyed it more than you did but I did have some problems with it. It seemed like the women did a lot of whining about their husbands being absent and having dangerous jobs and I had trouble feeling sympathy for them when the same paragraph would talk about 75,000 more troops heading to Vietnam.

I saw a review in the press slating this which was disappointing because these kind of books about women obscured by their husbands are fascinating to me.
