Ok, it sounds fascinating. I’m definitely adding it to my TBR list. I rather like that she isn’t necessarily always a likable character.

I bought this book the day it came out and haven’t gotten to it yet. I don’t read a lot of historical fiction, but do think I’d like this one.

I have been curious about this book, but the fact that it centers so heavily around a circus sort of turns me off a little bit. I don’t really like reading about circuses, though I did really enjoy The Night Circus, which is a little strange. It does sound like Vinnie is a really compelling character though, so I am sort of on the fence about this one. Great review. You’ve piqued my interest, despite my objections!

I was able to empathize with Vinnie but I didn’t necessarily like her. She was too stubborn and pigheaded! I loved this book and I want to read Alice I Have Been.

I really enjoyed this book. It will probably make my best of for 2012 list!
