I actually really didn't like The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society but it was because of the book, not the place, so I would definitely be willing to read other books set there. This one sounds like it would be more to my liking.

I picked up an ARC of this a while ago without really reading the blurb. I might need to move it up my TBR list.

Have you read War on the Margins by Libby Cone? That also is set in the Islands I believe.

This does sound rather interesting, especially the relationship between the protagonist and the German soldier. I haven't read anything from that angle yet, and while it does sound interesting, it also sounds a little controversial. This is a great review of a book that I might want to check out. Thanks for sharing your insight on it with us!
