Too bad that this book was such a stinker! I know what you mean about sequels. Sometimes they can be really good, but usually, they are just not at the level of the first book. I was unsure about whether I wanted to continue with the trilogy, but your review leaves me thinking I shouldn’t. I’m not a fan of books that are shocking for no reason. I need a plot and characters to connect with. Thanks for the warning.
