Wow, Meghan! Your analysis/review is fantastic! I was able to say that I’m glad I read the book (for one, because it spurred me to read more about the Armenian genocide), but wasn’t able to articulate why it was so powerful. The book is indeed thought-provoking, and your review now has all those ideas spinning in my head again.

I saw this book at the Library last week and was intrigued by the cover, but didn’t end up checking it out. Then I read your review and wish I had picked it up. Today at work I found an ARC of the book on the giveaway shelf. Can’t wait to read it!

You are right, such a gripping and at times very hard to read story. But such a well told one.

I too wish you had been at book club. Everyone had mixed feelings although no one denied the power of this novel. I still need to think through my thoughts before writing my review.

I’m really torn on my feelings about this book and I’m still sorting them out. I wish I had been at book club too. Maybe that would have helped.

I wish you could have made it to book club – it sounds like you would have had a lot to contribute. You liked the book more than I did.
