This book sounds like something I might like! Your description of it reminds me of Cinema Paradiso for some reason.

You don’t think the protagonists obsession with food could be comparable to any obsession, though? Say, reading?

I love foodie books, so I definitely think that this is a book I will love. Does it include any recipes in the book? Even if it doesn't this one is going to the top of my list. I liked this book a lot but not as much as Hedgehog-I wonder if anyone can read the descriptions of food in this book and then go to the grocery and buy some frozen fish sticks and a factory tomato-great review
