Wow! A steampunk romance. Who knew? I’m just getting to know steampunk and I”m still not quite sure about it — but I really enjoyed Leviathan.

In a way, it’s kind of refreshing that in this book, it’s the GUY that is insane and not the girl That said, I think the romance would so turn me off that I wouldn’t be able to appreciate what sounds like a really awesome world to live in for a few hundred pages! Sigh.

The hero’s quest for the girl does sound a little repugnant, but other than that, this sounds like a great book! I am going to try to check this one out because the world-building sounds like it is excellent! Thanks for the very enticing review!

I love the sound of the world, and of Mina, but I also have a big problem with controlling, possessive, no-means-yes kinds of romance heroes. Hmm. I’ve heard a lot of praise for Brook, though, so I may still give it a go.
