I did not mind the baby parts, since she did have a lot, and the story had to follow that. But yes the White Queen was better, but this one was better again than the red Queen

I still haven’t read any of Gregory’s books, I’m guessing this isn’t the one to start with will may be have to check out The White Queen.

It could have been interesting to have a narrator who wasn’t English and might bring a slightly different view to the War of the Roses. Too bad. I’ll pass.

I just started this one last night, and am enjoying it so far. I have read the White Queen, and though I finished it, I was much less enamored of that book, and this series in general than of her previous work. I think it may be all the magic and premonition that I just don’t like. I will have to let you know what I think of this one. Great review, by the way!

I didn’t think Jacquetta was the best choice of narrators either but I did like the first part of the book as well.

I’m reading this, right now and so far I’ve enjoyed it but I have to say that, even so, my favorite has also been the White Queen.

Almost every one who read this was disappointed, and for a variety of reasons. I think I’ll pass.
