I found the emotional intracacies intriguing as they tied into the plot. The Sister Queens wouldn’t get even a second glance from me at the bookstore but your review inspired me to stop and appreciate what I know must be a good book.

The cover would put me off because it looks more like a fantasy, though I suppose a lot of that is to do with the current usual idea of having people without heads on historical fiction books. But what you've described I like the sound of very much. Henry III's era wasfascinating, and knowing that Eleanor played a big role in that, it makes sense that her sister would have been the same.
