I really enjoyed both of these books! While it sounds like I liked The Tea Rose more than you did, I still found The Winter Rose to be the better of the two. And I know I’ve been looking forward to the 3rd book, but I had no idea until now that it’s coming out this summer. I can’t wait now!

Ok, I’m not reading your review until I finish the first book but I have to say I am loving and adoring The Tea Rose, right now. Lovely!!

I have had a few people recommend this series but never seem to get around to reading them. I need to remedy that.

The more I hear about Donnelly’s work, the more I become convinced that I need to try it. You’ve made this book sound very appealing.

I loved this too, and also thought it was the better of the two. But I liked the Tea Rose more than you, I think, and liked having it as background before reading The Winter Rose.

I have read so many great reviews of Donnelly’s work, and I have the Tea Rose sitting on my shelves, as well as Revolution. It sounds like this book really impressed you, and I am glad that it did, because I had been considering reading it, and now know that I will. Thanks for sharing your very thoughtful insight with us on this one. It’s a book that I really need to add to my collection!
