I had to go look up the paperback after reading the other comments. Those Unbridled Books covers are always memorable, aren't they?

Merce's storyline does sound especially interesting ... is it ever revisited in flashbacks, or just dropped after she dies?

I agree that Lockwood's story wasn't as captivating as Merce's, but I loved the book anyway.
This book is a great read, I read it an a short few days, and I am excited to see it again. The cover on the paperback illustrated beautifully, and is much more appropriate for the book's mood. You have to see it in person.

I just finished this one and really liked it. I'm posting my review sometime next week. I love the cover you have pictured, but I wasn't sure it really was "right" for the tone of this book. The book (or at least Lockwood's sections) were more antic-filled and I thought the paperback cover (while not as beautiful) was more whimsical.

I also agree about the best parts of the story were the Merce chapters and her voice!

Kathy's right, the cover is beautiful. Good review -- I'm still a bit undecided if this book is for me.

I've seen a couple other reviews for this book, but none of the others have shown that gorgeous cover. The cover alone would draw me in.
