Oh, I love the premise of this being set at the same time, but in a different pseudo-world than the rapacious and feudal Europe of the middle ages. Thanks so much for bringing it to my attention!

Oh I like the idea of a new (non-Europe) fantasy setting. And nothing wrong with being drawn to a book because of the author’s name. Is it any different from picking up a book because it has a pretty cover?

The synopsis that you wrote for this book is so intriguing, as are your reactions to it. It seems like with all that is going in in the plot that it should be a much longer book, and I do have to admit that I was sort of intrigued with the author’s name as well. Great review on this one. I need to see if I can find this one, as I think it would be a great read for both my husband and myself.
