I like the sound of the taking the children and fleeing aspect. I don't see a lot of that in romance and it seems like it would add that extra bit of depth.

Heidenkind, the first book in this series was probably the weakest Hoyt I have read. For me it was the heroine who I just found really annoying, but the second and third books are both really good!

I am not much of a romance reader, but after reading your review, I must conclude that this one does sound very interesting. I will have to look for it the next time I order books. Thanks!

I really love Hoyt's novels, but the first book in this series turned me off. I think it was the moccasins.... Anyway, I have book number two in the TBR pile, which I still haven't read, and I don't really want to buy the next one until I finish that one. This book sounds promising, though.
