I liked this one a lot, but I know what you mean about not feeling epic. Still, the concepts behind the story were very different than anything I’ve read before and I enjoyed it for the originality.

I like the god premise in this and the breath idea as well. Seeing as I am (or at least used to be) a fantasy fan, I’ll have to give it a try.

I liked this book a lot, but I can see where you’re coming from with the not-quite-as-epic as Sanderson’s other books. I wonder how much of that comes from the higher dose of humor in this book compared to the others?

I hadn’t ever heard of this book, but your review intrigues me. I am not all that much of a fantasy reader, but that is something that I really want to change. I have read a few and have been looking for some more good ones, so this is going on my list. Thanks for the comprehensive and thoughtful review!
