I so wanted to read this one last year, especially when Chris was doing his readalong in the fall, but I just couldn’t find a used copy. Sorry you didn’t love it but maybe the second time around it’ll be better. Plus that the scenes were so vivid for you!

It sounds intriguing, but I’m not sure this type of plot is enough to hold my interest for an entire book.

I have read so many great reviews of this book, and actually bought my own copy a few years ago. I haven’t read it yet, but your review makes me think that I should get to it sooner rather than later. It sounds like a really good and slightly creepy read. Thanks for the great review! actually it didn’t occur to me until reading your review, but The Distant Hours by Kate Morton is kind of reminiscent of this book.
