On a serious note, this book sounds totally up my alley. Adding it to the wishlist!

This does sound very intriguing, and the story of how Mary escaped her tyrannical husband was almost unheard of at that time, which makes me so interested in reading this book! Often I become enraged when reading books about women in this time period being ill-treated by their husbands, and the worst part is that they have no escape. It's wonderful to hear that this woman was able to beat her husband at his own game. I clearly need to read this book! It sounds intense and wonderful. Great review!
