Holmes fully deserves to be rated the #1 most memorable fictional character of all time (and I'm proud that, like Conan Doyle, he retired to Sussex, where I live).

I've recently re-read the Complete Sherlock Holmes again and the precision and purpose of Conan Doyle's writing is one of the reasons he was able to bring such a singular character as Holmes to life.

Anything that expands on the Holmes story has to be a good thing in my book.

Zibilee,

You won't regret reading them. They are truly fantastic reads. I own almost all of them.

Holmes has always fascinated me for his attention to detail and his sheer intelligence.
