But apart from the fact that you wouldn&#039;t want to lose your horse in the middle of a battle, they were EXPENSIVE! You could buy a mansion in the exclusive suburbs today for what a horse cost to own, train, feed, care for. If that meant protecting it  from injury, so be it.]]></description>
