Remains of the Day was one that really impacted me as well. After years of debate I finally loaned it to my dad and was crushed when he returned it and said he just didnt get it!

Fun answers! I've been seeing this one around and have been meaning to draft it up. Maybe next Sunday.

aw, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to remember any of War & Peace when I'm finished, either! Well, I think I will remember certain scenes but I sort of forget the sections as I read them anyway...

I LOVE reading posts like this - it provides just a glimpse into the literary world of online friends.

I have yet to read The Age of Innocence, but I think it is time that I do. I have seen numerous posts online promoting its virtue.

For me the most important moment in my reading life was discovering the Book Blog community. I had no idea that there were others out there who not only enjoyed reading as much I do, but also discussing and writing about books. I believe I am more passionate about all things literary now than I ever was before.

The Remains of the Day really is astonishing <3

Also, how hadn't I heard of Queen Victoria's Book of Spells? I love Datlow and Windling's anthologies and this one has me sold on the title alone.

I'm still doing a mental happy dance over the new Sarah Waters :D
